Jennifer Betancur
Biography
Jennifer Betancur is the Program Manager at Thunderbird School of Global Management where she oversees operations for the Executive Master of Arts in Global Affairs and Management, and manages special events at the DC Center for Excellence.
Jennifer earned a Master of Public Administration focused in Nonprofit Management, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and French Language and Culture Studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Jennifer has dedicated her career to program development, closing the gap for the underserved through education, and connecting communities to resources. From founding university services and student organizations to establishing mentorship programs, Jennifer thrives in program management and pilot implementation. Her areas of expertise include project and program management, educational programming, facilitation, cross-functional collaboration, recruitment and stakeholder management among others.
Jennifer’s career has focused on higher education and accessibility, and her strong cultural awareness has enabled her to advocate and serve underserved population. Her travel abroad as an undergraduate to France and a graduate student to China instilled a world-view to value and cultivate culture, leadership and education. To Jennifer, education is the key to empower younger generations and improve quality of lives.
