Biography

Dr. Adam Henry joined the Thunderbird School of Global Management in June 2019 as Executive Director, Enrollment and Student Success. In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing all student recruitment, academic advising, student engagement and career service functions for the School.

Prior to joining the Thunderbird family, Henry directed the Arizona State University (ASU) Study Abroad Office. As director, he advanced the vision, strategy and implementation of study abroad at ASU and its connection across all disciplines. He and his team also moved ASU’s Study Abroad into the Institute of International Education (IIE) rankings for institutions awarding credit for study abroad participation. Specifically, during Henry’s tenure, ASU went from being unraked to ranked #10 (IIE, Open Doors, 2018) in the nation for sending the most students abroad in an academic year. Previous to his leadership role in the ASU Study Abroad Office, he was Assistant Director of Global Launch at ASU and previous to joining the university, he directed an advocacy and service-learning program for FH, an international non-governmental organization.

Henry has also lived, studied and worked in Chengdu, China, for three years. He has studied, volunteered and traveled extensively in Guatemala, Kenya, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, South Africa, all of the Arab states of the Persian Gulf, and a variety of Asian countries including Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, and Cambodia.
