Thunderbird’s accelerated master program offers an accelerated pathway for Arizona State University (ASU) immersion undergraduate students to obtain a Master of Global Management degree in only one year after a student’s undergraduate graduation.
Choose one or two specialty concentrations from Global Business, Digital Transformation, Data Science (all STEM Designated) to Global Affairs, Health Solutions, Public Policy, and more. Our one-of-a-kind Global Challenge Lab takes you into the field for a real-world, client-facing practical group project, and you immediately get linked to a worldwide network of 46,000 Thunderbird alumni across 140+ countries!
This full-time accelerated graduate program prepares students with the skills necessary to lead diverse, international teams in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors. Thunderbird’s new state-of-the-art global headquarters on ASU’s Downtown Phoenix campus is under construction, scheduled for completion in the fall of 2021 in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the School’s founding. The cutting-edge facility will allow Thunderbird to deliver exceptional leadership and management education for generations to come. Transcripts for graduate admissions must be sent directly to the Graduate Admissions Services department at the main Arizona State University campus. To expedite the processing of your application, please write your application reference number on all documents and envelopes submitted to ASU. Materials submitted without your application reference number will delay the processing of your application.
Our Admissions team will consider both your professional and personal experience when assessing your fit for the program. Each candidate’s global leadership potential—and his or her ability to bring global experience and cultural insight into the classroom—is of utmost importance to our Admissions team. We seek to fill our program with globally-minded students whose professional or personal experiences will add value to the diverse cultural and social Thunderbird experience.

Thunderbird’s Global Challenge Lab is a six-credit, client-facing, project-based capstone course that involves a three-week immersion in an advanced or emerging market around the world. Projects are tailored to the business needs of the client and provide sophisticated data and market analysis, strategy recommendations and practical, effective plans for sustained growth.
Arizona State University students who major in the online Bachelor of Science in Technological Entrepreneurship and Management can accelerate their degree program and obtain their bachelor and master’s degree with Thunderbird’s online Master of Applied Leadership and Management program in as little as five years. Acceptance to the graduate program requires a separate application. During their junior year, eligible students will be advised by their academic departments to apply.
