Thunderbird’s Honor Council tackles issues of ethics in the business world and brings awareness of those issues to campus.
The mission of Honor Council is for every student to graduate with an understanding of how to be an ethical global leader. In order to achieve this, Honor Council invites guest lecturers to campus to discuss these issues and to share their knowledge with students. The Honor Council also holds round-table discussions where students can talk about the dilemmas they have faced, for instance, when a boss asked them to do something they knew was unethical, and how they were able to navigate that. Honor Council also participates in and hosts case competitions, where multiple universities compete to explore and discuss issues related to an ethical dilemma.
Honor Council is a safe place for students to discuss their needs and concerns about ethical practices at Thunderbird, and help students understand how they can live up to the Oath of Honor, no matter what they are faced with as global citizens.
