Five Stages of Entrepreneurial Success: Taking a Business from Idea to Liquidity
It is the proverbial American Dream: Owning your own business. But in today’s fast-paced environment, the road to success is less a leisurely drive with signs pointing the way and more like a high-speed, Autobahn adventure requiring the negotiation of many turns. Join Wolfgang Koester '91, CEO of FiREapps, as he offers an overview of the five key stages that entrepreneurs face when transitioning a business from an idea to liquidity.
Koester draws on his own experiences as he discusses important learnings such as recognizing marketplace needs, uncovering financing and identifying key hires at every stage along the way. He also explores how to best leverage technology, determine pricing, enhance strategies and build the business through distribution. And where some leaders may believe attaining business maturity signals success, Koester advices that the “maturity” stage may actually present the greatest challenges of all, as entrepreneurs seek to best position their organizations for hypergrowth.
A reception at the on-campus Thunderbird pub will follow the event.
