The journey begins soon as Team Tanzania prepares to depart for Arusha.  As the team researches not only our host country but the consulting issues at hand, we wanted to take the opportunity to introduce our Thunderbird Emerging Market Lab project and team.

We are excited to work with Solar Sister and the Exxon Mobil Foundation Women’s Economic Opportunities Initiative (WEOI).  Solar Sister eradicates energy poverty by empowering women with economic opportunity.  They combine the breakthrough potential of clean energy technology with a deliberately woman-centered direct sales network to bring light, hope and opportunity to even the most remote communities in rural Africa.

Team Tanzania looks forward to offering our expertise as Solar Sister looks to not only increase their presence in Tanzania but also develop internal human resources capacity and training for Solar Sister.

Our new home in Arusha, Tanzania promises to be an adventure.  Gateway to the Serengeti National Park, home to many of Africa’s amazing animals and a short drive from Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, Arusha will no doubt offer some amazing opportunities for adventures.  Work hard play hard!

As true T-Birds, our backgrounds are diverse, our skills are broad and we absolutely have the global mindset to succeed

Meet the Team:
