Ruto's US trip yields fruit: Kenya to host global tech-event next year

President William Ruto of Kenya, ASU President Michael Crow, and Thunderbird Director General and Dean Sanjeev Khagram gathered to announce a new partnership and future collaborations at the ASU Barrett and O’Connor Washington Center in Washington, D.C. The event coincided with the 2022 U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit hosted by President Joe Biden, which aimed to strengthen ties and collaboration between the U.S. and Africa.

    Thunderbird at ASU celebrates new partnership with Kenya to accelerate 100 Million Learners Global Initiative

    On Dec. 14, the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University, in partnership with the Konza Technopolis Development Authority (KoTDA), hosted "Innovating, Accelerating and Scaling Silicon Savannah," a convening of high-level representatives from the government of Kenya and ASU to define areas of mutual cooperation.

    One of the buzziest weeknight spots in downtown Phoenix is flying under the radar. The Pub at Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University’s full-service bar and restaurant, has become a social hub for students and faculty. It’s also open to the public, a fact that’s little known beyond campus boundaries.

    Thunderbird to host panel of top NASA administrators and space sector leaders to discuss New Space and The Artemis I mega rocket launch

    On Sunday, August 28, 2022, from 2 - 3:30 p.m. EDT, Thunderbird School of Global Management (Thunderbird) at Arizona State University (ASU) will host The Road to Artemis, a unique space panel celebrating the launch of Artemis I. This special event will take place at Space Florida (505 Odyssey Way, Merritt Island, FL 32953) and is co-sponsored by Redwire and Space Florida.

    Arizona State University/Thunderbird School of Global Management - Hiroshima University Global School Opens in August 2022

    On 28 April 2022, the Arizona State University/Thunderbird School of Global Management - Hiroshima University Global School ('Global Initiative') received the designation as the “Locations in Japan of a Foreign University” from the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan. This means that the Global Initiative, which will open in August on the Higashihiroshima Campus, will be recognized as an educational institution and will be able to issue students visas to international students who wish to study at the Global Initiative.

    Rising Again: Thunderbird school celebrates 75 years, opens new building

    The Thunderbird School of Global Management has a rich history that spans 75 years. 

    On April 8, the school celebrated the grand opening of its new Downtown Phoenix building, named the Francis & Dionne Najafi Global Headquarter of the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
