Biography

Jeff Cunningham is a professor of practice in global leadership at Thunderbird School of Global Management. He joined the faculty in 2014 after a distinguished career in media, technology, venture capital and corporate governance.

His career has included roles such as publisher of Forbes Magazine; founder of (NACD) Directorship Magazine; venture partner Highland Capital; managing director Schroder Ventures; president venture accelerator CMGI; CEO Myway.com and Zip2.com (Elon Musk's first company); CEO Michael Milken's CareerTrack; vice president BusinessWeek.

He also has served as chairman or board director of more than 10 public companies, including Schindler, Sapient, Data General.

He is host and creator of the YouTube series, IconicVoices.TV, which has garnered more than 300,000 views to date. Guests on the program include Warren Buffett, Mike Milken, Richard Adkerson, Jeff Immelt, Barbara Barrett, Senator John McCain, and NSA Chief James Jones, General (Ret.) David Petraeus.

He has served as a trustee for The Center for Strategic and International Studies, the Middle East Institute and the British North American Council. He currently serves on the board of The McCain Institute.

Cunningham graduated from SUNY Binghamton with honors in English and from the Financial Executives Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
