What We Do

Education and Training

The Center is focused on developing and delivering practical knowledge through design and development of Executive Education Programs as well as customized trainings for key players of the entrepreneurial ecosystem and family businesses around the world.

Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Development

We help our partners assess, identify, and further develop their local entrepreneurial ecosystem. From hackathons to accelerators, our team has vast experience developing the platforms to ignite and build a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Youth Development Programs

The Center provides subject matter expertise for the development and management of impactful experiential learning experiences for our next generation of entrepreneurs and family business leaders.

Research and Academic Insights

Our affiliate faculty is committed to further expand existing academic literature and management best practices for family businesses. Our portfolio of studies includes business case studies, white papers and articles.

About the Center

The A.Masrin Center for Global Entrepreneurship and Family Business, named after the entrepreneurial father of distinguished Thunderbird alumnus Jimmy Masrin ’87, who is the President, Director, and CEO of PT Caturkarsa Megatunggal based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The company is a family business that has diversified across several industries including chemicals, mining, fuel distribution, and supply chain and logistics businesses.

Programs

High-impact Ventures

Workshop comprised of a multi-modular learning journey that includes experiential/active learning and will help participants understand the concept of high growth and its impact within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Entrepreneurial Mentoring

Program focuses on providing advanced and customized training to experienced executives and business experts aiming to mentor mature and growing companies. The advanced education program also seeks to provide guidance on the development of best mentoring practices and key components to consider when designing entrepreneurial mentoring platforms.

Entrepreneurship and Innovation Bootcamp

With a unique focus on global dynamics in an era of disruption and rapid change, the curriculum features sixteen leading- edge themes key to global entrepreneurial success in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This interactive program empowers entrepreneurial leaders and innovators with templates for starting new global businesses and nonprofits, and proven 21st Century strategies for creating value through innovation in existing enterprises across the private, nonprofit and public sectors.
