Nicole Almond Anderson

Since 2007, Nicole Almond Anderson's career at Arizona State University has provided her with experience in nonprofit leadership and management, event planning, donor engagement and marketing and communications. Currently, she is the Executive Director of Branding and Communications for the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Previous to her current role, Anderson was the Director of Communications at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law and before that role she was the Manager of Marketing, Communications and Stakeholder Relations for the ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation for nearly eight years. Prior to her work at the ASU Lodestar Center, she was the Director of Alumni Relations for the W. P. Carey School of Business and a communications/event manager for the ASU Alumni Association.

Before coming to Arizona State University, Anderson was the Communications Coordinator at Health Industry Business Communications Council (HIBCC), a nonprofit organization that helps to ensure safe and efficient healthcare delivery via electronic communication devices. Additionally, Anderson was part of the strategic communications team for the Defense & Space Electronic Systems campus at Honeywell, Inc. in Glendale, Ariz.

Anderson is a fifth-generation Arizonan and proud "Super Fan" for Arizona State University, awarded by the PAC 12 Networks. As an avid Sun Devil, she is the former president of the Sun Devil Club's Young Professionals Group and previously was the vice president of the ASU Young Alumni Chapter, as well as a member of Valley Leadership Class 36, Take The Lead Women, Emerging Leaders of Phoenix Children's Hospital and the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network.

When Anderson's first daughter was 15 months old, she was diagnosed with Pitt Hopkins Syndrome, an ultra-rare, neurodevelopmental disorder. At the time, Alexandra was the third child in Arizona living with this disorder. Her daughter serves as her daily dose of inspiration as she combines her passion to serve along with advocating for those who are developmentally disabled. She is the Chair of the City of Phoenix Mayor's Commission on Disability Issues and she serves on the board of directors for United Cerebral Palsy of Central Arizona and the Pitt Hopkins Research Foundation. Anderson is also the CEO and Founder of RareiTees for a Cure, an online clothing brand with a mission to bring awareness to rare diseases with 100% of proceeds going to research.
