Venue reservations at Thunderbird

Thank you for your interest in hosting an event at Thunderbird School of Global Management. Our building is located on the Arizona State University Downtown Phoenix campus and is home to advanced technological and innovative event spaces.

Pricing is based on venue, event timing, technology and operational needs. The below should serve as an estimate for planning purposes.

Haas Digital Global Forum: Our premier venue, the Forum is a cylindrical shaped open forum with state of the art technological capabilities that can accommodate theater-style seating, panel discussions, receptions, and more. Capacity is dependent on layout.

  • Corporate Rate: Hourly: $300 | Full Day: $2,500
  • Non-Profit Rate: Hourly: $150 | Full Day: $1,500

Classrooms*: Pod style classrooms set-up to promote idea generation and flow, cross-team communication and creative collaboration, equipped with presentation projection screen, TV Monitor for casting, and high definition cameras for zoom capabilities.

  • Corporate Rate: Hourly: $175 | Full Day: $1,500
  • Non-Profit Rate: Hourly: $125 | Full Day: $1,000

Conference rooms: Intimate meeting space perfect for board meetings, organizational meetings, and team training, all equipped with a presentation projection screen/monitor for casting, and high definition cameras for zoom capabilities. 

Conference Space (seats 2-8):

  • Corporate Rate: Hourly: $75 | Full Day: $500
  • Non-Profit Rate: Hourly: $40 | Full Day: $250

Conference Space (seats 8-20):

  • Corporate Rate: Hourly: $125 | Full Day: $1,000
  • Non-Profit Rate: Hourly: $60 | Full Day: $500

Conference packages: Conference Packages are available for groups that will be hosting multi-day events or have more complicated event needs.

*Classroom space is limited Monday thru Thursday. If you anticipate needing space for groups over 20, please consider hosting events on Friday. ** Additional service charges will apply as relevant/needed

Guidelines

Availability: Thunderbird Global Headquarters is open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Weekend and evening events are considered on an exceptional basis only and additional fees will apply. Space will prioritize academic operations and events will be limited during orientation and finals. 

Event approval and priority: All events are subject to availability and priority will be given to events with a global and/or business-related focus. Internal Thunderbird events, especially those hosted by the Dean, will be given preference. 

Conferences: Conferences requiring multiple breakouts are encouraged to host their event on Friday’s when classes are limited or during school breaks. 

Capacities: 

  • Global Forum: Varies depending on layout; max. 200
  • Classrooms: 40-60
  • Small conference spaces: 4-8
  • Medium/large conferences: 8-20

Equipment and rentals

Basic AV, such as microphones, screens, projectors, and a teaching station, is included in your room rental fee. Video or sound recording and live streaming is available for additional fees. 

Layouts and set-ups utilizing in-house resources are included in room fees. Any additional equipment required can be rented through an external vendor and coordinated with Thunderbird event staff. 

Parking

Thunderbird does not have a dedicated parking lot. The recommended lot for groups is the ASU Taylor Lot. Please note that this garage is also popular for ASU events, staff, and the Marriott—be aware of other activities on your event date. 

The entrance to this garage is located on the east side of N 2nd St, on the northwest corner of N 2nd St and E Taylor St.
