Overview

Thunderbird's Career Management Center (CMC) offers career events, workshops, and coaching throughout the year to help you build a life-changing global career. We partner with students, alumni, faculty, and staff, and connect employers to global talent.

Each Master of Global Management (MGM) student is assigned a Career Coach to support their internship or job search strategy. Coaches also offer two self-assessment tools, Success Insights (TTI) and CareerLeader, to help you clarify your career goals. After completing an assessment, you can attend a workshop on the results and meet with your coach to discuss next steps.

Thunderbird partners with local and international organizations — including On Semi, Hilti, Honeywell, Amazon, TCS, and Shamrock — to recruit our students.

Coaching appointments

Coaching appointments are designed to support you throughout the development and implementation of your internship or job search strategy. Some of the common issues covered in these sessions include:

Defining a professional development plan
Self-Assessments
Researching sectors, fields and employers
Providing linkages to alumni and professionals in all fields and sectors
Identifying and pursuing summer internships
Conducting a mock-interview (practice interview questions followed by feedback on content and presentation style)

Self-assessment reviews

Our career coaches offer two self-assessment tools for current students seeking to clarify and explore their career goals: Success Insights (TTI) and CareerLeader. After taking these online assessments, you may attend a workshop to learn about the results and then meet with a coach to discuss any impact the results may have on your professional development and career choices.

ASU's career management platform connecting students, alumni, employers, and career services in one place. Students can search and apply for jobs and internships, register for career fairs and employer events, schedule appointments with career advisors, and manage resumes and applications — all from one centralized hub.
