Saudi Arabia introduces Madarik program to aid development of nation’s space industry

Saudi Arabia’s Communications, Space and Technology Commission on Tuesday launched a program designed to empower and develop national capabilities in the space sector. The Madarik program, which will run from May 5 to Aug. 15 in collaboration with specialist international institutions, aims to build a sustainable future for the sector by drawing on the knowledge of partners with experience in the field to develop professional pathways for Saudi citizens, officials said.

Can China have its own SpaceX?

In February, the Beijing government announced that it would create China’s first commercial aerospace research and production hub in Yinghai. Rocket Street, a rocket park set to become a national demonstration zone, will occupy the most centralised location in the aerospace area. Construction will begin on this 140,000-square-metre facility in April this year, and it will be ready for use by the end of 2025.

The Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University has recently been recognized by The Case Centre's Impact Index 2023 as one of the top producers of case studies, having claimed the No. 20 position in the world and No. 7 in the U.S. for its global reach and impact of faculty case writing.
