Helen Wu
Biography
Helen Wu is the Senior Director, Global Partnerships and Operations of Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University. Skilled in leading cross functional, multi-generational and geographically dispersed teams. Her priority is to serve as a liaison and drive collaborations between Thunderbird Global Headquarter and Centers of Excellence around the world, including Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, Jakarta, Mumbai, Dubai, Nairobi, Geneva, London, Amsterdam, Moscow, DC, and LA.
True believer of GRIT and AI, she enjoys high productivity, process efficiency, and organizational effectiveness. She spends most of time driving projects forward, connecting the dots across teams, and facilitating impactful change globally. Currently, her focus is on the 100 Million Learners Global Initiative by providing educational access to 100 million people in 10 years.
Between 2019 and 2020, she led Thunderbird Career Management Center and Academic Advising team, supporting Thunderbird graduates career readiness and academic successes. Two main accomplishments:
- Increased summer internship rate by 86%
- Increased at graduation employment rate by 78%
Trusted advisor and business partner to cross departmental colleagues and senior leaders, she is experienced in partnering with Executive Committees and Board of Directors to drive business, cultural, and digital transformations. Prior to Thunderbird, she worked at Soochow University at the Deans office and Study Abroad office supporting AACSB accreditation and forming academic partnerships.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 rescued dogs. She loves food, comedy, and international travel.
