Vanessa Uribe
Biography
Vanessa is the Program Manager at the A. Masrin Center for Global Entrepreneurship & Family Business at Thunderbird School of Global Management. Previously, she served as Director of Marketing and Programs at DAS Foundation, where she developed business education programs to help Hispanic entrepreneurs and business owners create and grow their companies to success. Additionally, she led marketing campaigns across traditional and digital channels, created new products, developed commercial strategies, and conducted market research.
Throughout her career, Vanessa has held roles as a Business Consultant and Product Manager, successfully launching new physical and digital products. Since 2016, she has also been a university professor and business mentor, guiding and helping her students and entrepreneurs achieve their business goals. She also participated in an academic committee to develop the curriculum for a new university degree program.
Vanessa holds a Master’s in International Business from Maastricht School of Management (Netherlands) and an MBA from CENTRUM Catolica (Peru), where she was honored with the international ‘Beta Gamma Sigma’ distinction for academic excellence. She is a specialist in product management and is certified in Design Thinking, allowing her to apply innovative methodologies in teaching and business project development.
Vanessa firmly believes that education opens doors, and she is passionate about sharing knowledge and helping to transform ideas into successful businesses. She currently resides in Arizona, and is a happy wife and proud mother of her first baby, Leonardo.
