Executive Master of Global Management

Apply for a Thunderbird Alumni Scholarship using the Scholarship Form in the application. On average, applicants receive up to $10K for the three (3) terms it takes to complete the Executive Master of Global Management. The award is based on merit, financial need, GPA, GRE/GMAT scores (if applicable), and international experience.

With its innovative program format, the Executive Master of Global Management (EMGM) delivers 31 course credits strategically-choreographed to take students through every facet of international business management, with experiential learning opportunities and practical, applicable education in the nuances of global management, business, and improving international organizational culture.

The Executive Master of Global Management (EMGM) program offers a flexible way for full-time working professionals to obtain this international business graduate degree in only one year. Attend a combination of in-person and virtual classes once a month with your cohort and faculty members while collaborating on team assignments and coursework to achieve the curriculum milestones together.

The Executive Master of Global Management (EMGM) is a 12-month graduate program.

Students can expect to dedicate approximately 8 to 12 hours per week to homework or coursework outside of class in the Executive Master of Global Management (EMGM) program.

The Global Field Seminar is a 3-credit course students take in the Spring that is a trip to a specific region with the goal of learning about cultural business practices in that region. Students go on a variety of company and cultural site visits as a cohort increasing the strong Thunderbird bonds.

In the executive program, faculty recognize that scheduling conflicts may arise. Students are advised to communicate any anticipated absences with their faculty and program manager well in advance. Absences will be addressed individually based on the circumstances. Moreover, if students need to make a call during a class session, they should inform the faculty in advance to minimize disruptions to the classroom.

To apply for scholarships, students must complete the Thunderbird Alumni Scholarship (TAS) application as part of the admissions process. The admissions committee evaluates a scholarship essay submitted with the application to determine eligibility for the highest possible scholarship award. On average, the TAS for this program amounts to $10,000.
