Thunderbird empowers and influences global leaders and managers who will maximize the benefits of the Fourth Industrial Revolution for business, government, society and the environment. We have a unique opportunity to gather the incredible Thunderbird community to ensure the School remains the vanguard of global leadership, management, and business education for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The School’s Founder and First President Lieutenant General Barton Kyle Yount obtained Thunderbird’s original Glendale campus, Thunderbird Field No. 1, which was valued at $407,000, at a 100% discount from the House Surplus Property Committee. This contribution marked the beginning of a longstanding tradition of philanthropy at Thunderbird. Through the private support of our alumni and friends, Thunderbird has awarded scholarships to students from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe, endowed faculty chairs and professorships that support important research efforts, and established significant initiatives such as Thunderbird for Good, which offers learning opportunities for non-traditional students from emerging markets all over the world.
As we celebrate our 75th anniversary, we look to how we can acquire the resources needed to advance our mission for the next 75 years. Funding priorities include expanding our worldwide network of regional centers, elevating our academic experience, recruiting the next generation of Thunderbirds, and building our new global headquarters. We invite you to explore this site to learn more about how private support can advance Thunderbird’s mission and continue our commitment of building a world with inclusive and sustainable prosperity worldwide. You will also be directed to resources from our philanthropic partner, the ASU Foundation. If you have any questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Funds will be deposited with the ASU Foundation, a separate non-profit organization that exists to advance ASU as a New American University, for the benefit of the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Gifts in support of Thunderbird are subject to foundation policies and fees. Your gift may be considered a charitable contribution. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of charitable contributions.
